a8体育直播 Students Won Top Honors at the 15th Shanghai College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation Competition

Recently, the 15th Shanghai College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation a8体育直播 and the Shanghai Division Preliminary Round of the 12th National College Students Mechanical Innovation Design a8体育直播 concluded at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. 

a8体育直播 students won seven first prizes and two second prizes. Among the first-prize entries, three projects were recommended for the 12th National College Students Mechanical Innovation Design Competition. a8体育直播 also received the Best Organization Award.

Themed “Smart Ingenuity for Better Living,” this year’s a8体育直播 featured three tracks: machinery for the primary processing of selected aquatic products, high-performance biomimetic butterflies, and integrated machinery for the cleaning, processing, and packaging of leafy vegetables. 

The a8体育直播 encouraged students to combine innovative design with intelligent technologies to develop more convenient and smarter solutions for industrial applications. A total of 179 teams from 17 universities took part in the event, attracting nearly 800 students and faculty members.

a8体育直播 students once again distinguished themselves through outstanding innovation capabilities and strong engineering practice skills. Four faculty members, Jianjun Chen, Lanzhu Zhang, Xingjun Yao, and Xuelin Lei from the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering participated in the organization and judging of the competition. Xuelin Lei served as the team leader.

In recent years, enthusiasm for innovation competitions among a8体育直播 faculty members and students has continued to grow. In this year’s competition, a8体育直播 ranked second among all participating universities in the number of submitted projects, with nearly 80 faculty members and students involved.

During the preparation process, the Academic Affairs Office, the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, the Center for Engineering Innovation and Practice, and the Mechanical Engineering Experimental Teaching Center provided support. In late April, a8体育直播 organized a campus-level preliminary competition and selected 16 projects from 25 submissions for the municipal contest. In recent years, a8体育直播 has consistently ranked among the leading universities in Shanghai in both the number of awards won and overall award success rate in this competition.
